While you never know what will have been caught, you can be sure that whatever you order will be the best money can buy. Robert and his team will skin, bone, fillet and prepare your seafood the way you want it - they will even give you advice and tips on how to cook it yourself.
The exciting new addition to Latimers is its seafood café. Here, the ethos continues: produce is sourced locally and every dish is prepared on the premises - except for the bread, which is handmade by a local artisan baker. Crab sandwiches, seafood platters, dressed crab and lobsters and fresh steamed mussels are just a taste of what to expect. Follow with a homemade cake, scone or one of the locally made ice creams or sorbets. A proper cup of coffee or a piping hot cup of tea is ideal after a walk on Whitburn Beach, or from Souter Lighthouse. Or, why not sit on the deck and admire the stunning views. Latimers is a small family business which prides itself on its friendly atmosphere - families with small children, nursing mums, and people in wheelchairs are all welcome.
