Main courses such as slow-braised lamb and 6oz sirloin steak are always popular, especially thanks to the lunchtime deal, available Tuesday to Saturday from noon until 3.30pm. You can snap up two courses for £12.99 or go all out with three courses for £15.99, which includes a complimentary glass of wine. Chocoholics must save room for the chocolate plate, which comprises a Black Forest mousse chocolate pot, iced chocolate and Grand Marnier parfait and warm chocolate brownie.

Look to the à la carte menu for lip-smacking favourites such as pan-fried sea bass, warm shredded crispy duck, and braised and caramelised lamb shank. Sweet-toothed diners can round off their feast with Eton Mess or comforting bread and butter pudding.
