Since first opening in 1927, Cadwaladers has built an impressive reputation. Over nine decades their ice cream has become famous for its rich flavour and luxurious texture. From humble beginnings as a family run general store in Criccieth, the company quickly grew thanks to the success of Hannah Cadwaladers' original vanilla ice cream recipe - a closely held secret to this day. Perhaps even more impressive is that the recipe is 93 per cent fat-free, so you needn't feel guilty for indulging. Flavours include familiar favourites like vanilla, strawberry and mint choc-chip, as well as creative options like salted caramel popcorn and pecan and caramel swirl. The selection is updated seasonally and each café stocks a different combination.
