St Fagans National History Museum, St Fagans, Cardiff, CF5 6XB
The beauty of St Fagans National History Museum is that visitors can wander through different eras of Welsh history and view community buildings, private residences and places of work to see how life has changed and developed over the years. One of the most impressive buildings within the museum is without doubt the historic St Fagans Castle, a stunning Elizabethan manor house that was donated by the Earl of Plymouth in 1946.

On the lower ground floor of the Grade I listed building, lavishly furnished with rosewood and oak furniture, you will find The Buttery. Serving lunch and snacks in a tranquil and relaxed setting, The Buttery offers an assortment of homecooked meals and cakes, as well as hot and cold drinks. The venue can also be hired for daytime and evening events, such as training days or weddings. It can hold up to 40 guests and is perfect for private dining.

Once you've filled up in The Buttery, be sure to take in the grounds of the castle before you leave - the exquisite Italian garden, mulberry grove and fountains are certainly worth a visit. A number of exciting culinary outlets are also situated within the grounds of St Fagans, each with its own unique offering
