As soon as you step inside Lew’s Coffee Shop it becomes clear that it’s very much at the heart of the community, and has been ever since it opened in 2007. Owner Lewys is a vital part of the community; visit and you’ll see little ones tucking in to cake, while adults gossip over a piping brew and teens spill the beans with an iced frappe in hand. The decor boasts books and memorabilia that lend a relaxed and warm atmosphere in which guests are invited to settle down for the afternoon. Your eyes will be drawn to the counter topped with sweet treats, including owner Lewys’ mum’s fluffy homemade sponges, chocolate brownies, fridge cake and delicious kronuts with flavours such as sticky toffee crumble and Belgian white chocolate. There are plenty of savoury options to choose from, too.
