La Vita Tua

You can find family-run Italian restaurant La Vita Tua at the heart of Cardiff city centre. And when you do discover it, you'll be hooked for life. You'll be seduced by its home-from-home ambience, wowed by its distinct, hearty Italian food, and impressed by the fantastic service from the La Vita Tua team. Brothers Davide and Marco Branciamore do things the Italian way. Authenticity is the key to their success, and it can be found in everything from the food to the vivid, expressive artwork adorning the walls.

There's a wide-range of sumptuous meals on the menu, and flavours to suit all palates. Feel free to take the kids along; they are well catered for too. Olive and bread combinations, salads, a tempting selection of pasta dishes, pizza and sharing platters are all present and correct. To try and choose just two courses is a difficult task indeed. For starters I picked the marinated olives, which were plump, juicy and brimming with flavour. I followed this with the lasagne spinaci con ricotta. This gorgeous meal, conjured from an old family recipe, is rich and textured, the spinach and melted ricotta cheese proving the perfect bedfellows.
