La Tasca
Tapas

The Old Brewery Quarter St Mary Street Cardiff CF10 1FG
The moment you walk through the door here you know that you are in for a real treat. The décor is magnificent; the wall ornaments, Picassos and ornate mirrors make you feel like you should pay your respects by inspecting every inch of wall space.
Then the aroma of real Spanish food takes over and before you know it you are ordering Rioja, eating paella, and speaking with a Spanish accent.
La Tasca was built in 2003 and has since taken over as Wales' premier restaurant, winner of Concept of the Year for 2004. It is clear to see that the décor, food and atmosphere did not happen by accident. The award-winning management and staff make you feel like you're invited into their home for the evening, and the sangria makes you want to never leave. The menu consists of 30-odd tapas dishes, all reasonably priced, and a number of paellas freshly made to order.
There is an extensive wine list along with a variety of beers and spirits. As far as the overall experience goes, you can't beat the diversity available from one venue: live Spanish guitar on Mondays, salsa classes on Wednesdays, Spanish dance on Fridays and Saturdays and a sensational band on occasional Sundays.
Located in Cardiff's Old Brewery Quarter you could easily be excused for thinking that you're really on holiday, and the relaxed seating policy means you don't have to rush back to reality.
La Tasca takes only party-sized reservations and operates on a first-come, first-served policy that adds to the authenticity of its amazing atmosphere.
La Tasca, nominated Restaurant of the Year Wales in the Western Mail and Echo Restaurant Awards, is a must-visit restaurant for anyone with a taste for Spanish cuisine. Lunch or evening, you will love everything about it.
