Waterside Inn

The Waterside Inn is proud of the reputation it has achieved for producing quality food at excellent prices. And situated, as the name suggests, near the water just a five minute walk from the beach at Goodrington, this is a lovely place to eat or drink for any lunch or dinner occasion.

The food is supported by an extensive and very reasonably-priced wine list. I visited during the evening and was made extremely welcome by hosts John and Chris.

There is something for everyone on the menu – from light bites and sandwiches to a full à la carte feast. After much deliberation I decided on the rich creamy Brie tart, which came well presented and cooked to perfection. I chose a main course from the ever-changing specials blackboard – chicken with mushrooms and garlic served with a Chablis sauce. During the high season a carvery is available with a choice of beef, pork, lamb or turkey with all the trimmings.

If puddings are your thing, make sure you leave room for one here, as they are not to be missed, from ice cream through to a giant chocolate toffee profiterole – for chocolate lovers everywhere, and definitely not recommended as part of a calorie controlled diet.

Providing a venue for you to enjoy any time, whatever your requirements, you will find quality food, good service, excellent value and hearty portion sizes.
