Situated on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, Glazebrook Country House Hotel offers its guests a refined and relaxed dining experience coupled with glorious country views. The culinary success of their AA Rosette award-winning restaurant is enhanced by using that for which the West Country is renowned – Alan, Maggie and Chef David take great pride in sourcing the finest fresh produce locally, including meats, fish, vegetables and dairy produce.
Diners can choose between an à la carte and table d’hote menu. Starters include thin slices of smoked duck breast served with a spicy redcurrant jelly or warm goat’s cheese and sun-dried tomato tartlet. I followed my starter with medallions of beef fillet pan-fried and glazed in a stilton and port wine butter – amazing succulent and carefully crafted.

Finally, among the mousses, pralines and warm brioche bread and butter puddings that are included in the dessert menu, you will find West Country clotted cream and of course, a West Country cheeseboard. Need I say more?

Glazebrook House Hotel have mastered truly indulgent dining. The sheer quality of this superb country house will ensure a return visit.
