The Chequers Brasserie in Cookham Dean is one of the leading gastro pubs in the Thames Valley, established now for over 15 years.

They have produced a tempting seasonal menu with daily blackboard specials, all of which are very reasonably priced. Regular favourite starters include seared king scallops with a crayfish tail risotto and an orange piquant syrup, and the delicious foie gras parfait with toasted brioche, truffle oil and watercress salad.

Try mains like fillet of smoked haddock with a soft poached egg and hollandaise sauce or the roast rack of lamb, celeriac and potato boulangère, curly kale and shallot jus. Desserts featured include chocolate and honeycomb cheesecake and blueberry fool with toasted sponge cake. On Sundays and Bank Holidays exceptional traditional British roasts are served. A very reasonably priced extensive wine list is available as well as real ales from the bar.

Wooden beams and an open fire greet you on arrival at The Chequers. There is a small intimate bar area with comfortable seating, a dining room in the main older part of the building and a conservatory. The Chequers is great for a quick business lunch or more intimate dining experience.
With fantastic cuisine and service to match, The Chequers Brasserie is the perfect choice for just about any day of the week.
