Oliver’s has been open since 1986 and is known as the go-to place to enjoy a leisurely morning coffee, wholesome lunch or mid-afternoon snack. The building is a former butcher’s shop and boasts attractive original teak frames and Art Deco tiling dating back to 1927. The Oliver’s team is passionate about supporting local producers by sourcing ingredients nearby, including coffee from Reads (less than a mile away), eggs from Milborne Port, cheese from Somerset and meat from local butchers. Kick off the day with a freshly baked pastry and a cup of Dorset tea or filter coffee, or visit for a hearty lunch – perhaps a sandwich, baguette, jacket potato or ciabatta filled with West Country egg mayo, Wiltshire ham or Somerset Brie. Be sure to treat yourself to one of the delectable cakes too, all of which are homemade on the premises.
