London's loss was certainly Nottingham's gain when Ishor and his family decided to bring their love of great food and hospitality further north, opening this Mansfield Road restaurant. Time, care and skill have clearly gone into devising a menu to please all diners, with the emphasis on subtle spice combinations. To start, the lamb boti was divine and the spicy tandoor-roasted king prawns achieved incredible taste and aroma. Lamb nihari, a traditional, spicy Pakistani stew, was to follow. Vegetarians are well-catered for with the likes of slow-roasted achari aubergine and the sabzi special featuring mixed vegetables, spices, nuts and raisins. The service was attentive but unobtrusive throughout our meal. Ishor's aim is to create a fine-dining experience that caters for all; he exceeds all expectations
