The Stockbridge Restaurant
Modern British

If you’re looking for exceptional food, expert wine pairing and unobtrusive services, then The Stockbridge Restaurant is where you need to be. Stockbridge is a historic area in Edinburgh and the restaurant is housed in a beautiful building. Vear just off the cobbled streets, make your way down the steps and be transported into a culinary heaven. Stockbridge is renowned for its beautiful streets and village-like charm, yet is perhaps the biggest foodie destination in Edinburgh – The Stockbridge Restaurant certainly fits in.
Head chef and proprietor Jason Gallagher has created an enticing menu that showcases fresh local produce and changes seasonally. Expect to find beautifully presented dishes that exude flavour and skill. Order the spiced pigeon breast with black pudding and a Lyonnaise salad or the rabbit loin wrapped in serrano ham with cep mousse, chorizo risotto and Parmesan to start. The Gressingham duck breast with crispy duck confit, sautéed potatoes, roasted heritage beetroot and Port sauce comes highly recommend, or if you fancy something from the sea, try the seared sea bass with crabcake, tomato salsa, avocado ice cream and fennel salad dressed with aioli. Jane Walker, alongside her partner Jason, has developed a tempting wine list that showcases her expertise. The inviting atmosphere at The Stockbridge Restaurant makes it the perfect setting for a romantic dinner or celebration.
