Rendezvous Restaurant

One of Edinburgh’s original Chinese restaurants, Rendezvous is located in the busy and cultural West End. The interior is stylish and spacious, with a bohemian mix of traditional and contemporary Oriental-themed decor. Rendezvous Restaurant can cater for 140 diners, and is open for lunch and dinner every day of the week.

At lunchtime you can choose three classic courses from a traditional menu including spare ribs, kung po chicken and banana fritters for only £7.99 per person. The Peking-style banquet, which serves two or more people, is a great way to sample a variety of dishes. With hot and sour soup and crispy seaweed to start, and lemon chicken, crispy chilli beef and mixed vegetables to follow, this set menu ticks every box. It also includes special fried rice, a toffee apple dessert and after-dinner coffee or tea. Add additional main courses to share between more people, or order from the à la carte for a wider selection of dishes including Cantonese, Szechuan, Thai and Singapore specialities. Seafood-lovers should try the spicy squid in satay sauce or the grilled sole, served in a Peking-style sauce with garlic, ginger and spring onions.
