Hakataya
Chinese and East Asian

Hakataya is the sister restaurant to Slurp at the Kirk, formally known as Tangs, and is another exceptional Japanese eatery. Occupying a prime location off Rose Street, Hakataya has combined the ease of high street Japanese dining with authentic traditional recipes and flavours. Owner, Mr Tang has been professionally trained in making classic ramen noodles. The menu offers izakaya-style dishes which are the Japanese equivalent of tapas. These smaller dishes include beautiful handmade sushi, tempting gyoza and Japanese-style fried chicken. The dishes arrive quickly, making Hakataya the ideal location for a quick bite to eat on your lunch break, or whilst enjoying a Japanese lager or sake with colleagues and friends after work. If you don’t fancy a trip out, you can also order Hakataya through Deliveroo, allowing you to tuck into fresh, handmade sushi from home. It’s easy to see why Hakataya is such an established Japanese restaurant in Edinburgh.
