Gallery Restaurant at The Guildford Arms
Modern Scottish

The Guildford Arms is best known for its superb range of traditional ales and whiskies and is very popular for lunch and dinner. After taking in the fabulous Jacobean-style ceiling, head upstairs to the elegant boutique Gallery Restaurant, which is situated at mezzanine level. Lunch and classic bar meals are also served on the ground floor of The Guildford Arms.
The menu is packed with traditional pub favourites, such as breaded haddock, homemade burgers, Crombie’s sausage served with creamy mash, and fantastic Aberdeen Angus and Dark Island ale pie. Also popular are the Shetland mussels in creamy garlic sauce, and haggis-stuffed chicken breast served with black pepper or whisky sauce. Lighter dishes include pappardelle with oyster mushrooms, asparagus, red pesto and pine nuts, and chilli-baked salmon in Thai broth with egg noodles. Meat-lovers won’t be able to resist the chargrilled range, which includes 21-day-hung Aberdeen Angus sirloin and ribeye steaks served traditionally with mushrooms, tomatoes and a choice of peppercorn or blue cheese sauce. The double-loin lamb chops in wild mushroom and red wine sauce are also popular. Vegetarians will be equally impressed with options like scrumptious mushroom, spinach, hazelnut and Brie Wellington. A fantastic selection of keenly priced wine along with traditional ale and craft beer can be matched to the dishes – just ask the knowledgeable staff for advice.
