Despite being nestled amongst some of the capital's top arts venues, B'est saves the drama for the stage, offering high-quality dining in a relaxed yet sophisticated environment. The best of Scottish produce takes centre stage on a carefully considered menu, complemented by exotic influences from around the world.

The mozzarella-stuffed grilled aubergine, lovingly enveloped in a cherry tomato chutney, immediately caught our attention. Housing rich and vibrant flavours, this made for an enticing start to the evening. For mains, we couldn't resist the Scottish salmon fillet and the supreme of chicken with Provençal pepper sauce; both dishes were presented with creative yet sensible flair and tasted divine. Devilishly indulgent tiramisu and creme brulée rounded off an intensely satisfying gastronomic experience. The accompanying wine list will leave you genuinely spoilt for choice, with a particularly impressive selection of vintage bottles to explore.

During August, B'est hosts the critically acclaimed Faulty Towers experience. Be prepared for a uniquely British comedy affair, with live theatre performed as you enjoy your lunch or dinner. Booking is strongly recommended.
