Owners Chris Yandell and Simon Warner look forward to welcoming you to The Oyster Shack. Set back upon the Avon River hillside, this unique, Mediterranean-style restaurant is pure escapism.
Inspired one day by the farming of oysters on the Avon River, a visiting couple enquired whether it was possible to have a dozen of the oysters with a bottle of wine. A table was soon set up and the pair enjoyed the first meal at what later became The Oyster Shack.

Completely alfresco in summer months, The Oyster Shack has become famous for its relaxed, friendly and quirky atmosphere. Whether you're ordering half a dozen oysters 'au naturel' and a glass of champagne for two, or choosing from the extensive seafood menu for a large party whilst enjoying jugs of cocktail in the summer sun, The Oyster Shack offers an unparalleled experience.

Friendly, laid-back staff are charming and very knowledgeable about the menu.

The décor consists of fishnets, lobster pot buoys and other fascinating details, including an ocean-sized fish tank. With the reputation growing and having received national recognition in newspaper columns, The Oyster Shack really is a desirable all-year-round destination.

Open June-October, Monday-Sunday for breakfast, lunch and dinner; October-May Wednesday-Saturday for breakfast, lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch only; May Tuesday-Sunday for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
