Sunday roast has become something of a signature dish at The Fleece, encompassing what their food is all about: restaurant-quality cuisine in a comfortable pub environment, at pub prices. The popularity of this Sunday feast speaks for itself, and consequently Sundays get very busy, so be sure to book ahead. The comparatively large menu, which runs from Monday through to Saturday, includes a full English breakfast, a wide selection of burgers, sandwiches and 'lite bites'. For those wanting something more substantial, there are hearty mains like chicken breast stuffed with chorizo and goat's cheese, or homemade spicy meatballs. The ingredients are locally sourced where possible and everything is freshly prepared to order. There is a vast selection of hand-pulled ales and world beers to wash it all down with, not to mention a spirit range synonymous with swanky city-centre bars - without the high prices. This really is a place not to be missed.
