Situated in the heart of Manchester?s city centre, Grado offers an eclectic mix of regional and new wave Spanish food. Open all day, it serves tapas, hams, paellas, spit-roast meat, grilled fish and clay-baked flatbreads. Grado encompasses everything that is great about Spanish hospitality, in a setting reminiscent of the famous Cal Pep restaurant in Barcelona.
The decor is plush, a soothing array of orange and brown with subtle lighting and a welcoming two-tier layout, with a tapas bar to one side and the atmospheric open kitchen at the end. The raised dining area above the main restaurant offers customers a panoramic view of the bar and the lively kitchen, adding a nice theatrical touch, whilst the etched glass screens provide some degree of privacy.
When people think of Spanish cuisine, many think only of tapas and a bottle of Spanish plonk, but there is so much more to be discovered. Grado provides that special something with lots of unusual dishes ranging from braised rabbit with Rioja to crisp belly of wild boer. The menu also includes a popular daily roast from the special Josper charcoal oven. Grado has an impressive array of authentic and unique Spanish wines with a list of over 100, 16 of which are available by the glass ? so visit soon to enjoy a fantastic meal coupled with some vibrant Spanish spirit.
