Whether it’s a mid-morning coffee, a light lunch or a celebratory dinner, The Bridge Café is an ideal venue to meet friends or colleagues alike. The relaxed ambience in this glass-fronted restaurant and terrace overlooking the Avon Gorge and the Suspension Bridge allows a true continental feel in the heart of Bristol, with one of the best views in the city.

Choose from the ‘local menu’ created by head chef Debby Leatt and her crew, which regularly changes to reflect each season. Meals in this environment are light or lingering as the mood takes you. You can pop in for lunch and enjoy a two-course meal for £11.95 from the daily changing menu.

If spending the evening lingering over a three-course meal, you’ll be delighted by the creative à la carte menu. Why not start your evening with potted crab and shrimps or a warm confit fig tart? The choice is wide for main courses, from the sea and from the land – enjoy whole Cornish plaice or a delicious goat’s cheese, beetroot and rocket risotto. And then there is the wine – the hand-picked list will surprise and delight. Just ask the team for their recommendations. With the food and the view so spectacular, you’ll want to stay around and sample The Bridge Café’s excellent desserts. Find temptations like lemon tart drizzled in raspberry coulis served with basil sorbet alongside an extremely wicked hot chocolate fondant. For those without a sweet tooth there is also an excellent selection of British cheeses, served with homemade chutneys.

Something special to celebrate? The Avon Gorge knows just how to do it. The hotel plays host to some of the most prestigious dinners, banquets and celebrations in its private dining rooms, all with unbeatable views.
