Radlett
Akash
Location: 195 Watling Street, Radlett, WD7 8NQ [map]
Phone: 01923 856 548
Open: Mon-Sun noon-2.30pm, 6pm-11.30pm

Akash has been part of Radlett life for over 25 years, owned and managed by the Miah family all this time. The food is always freshly cooked and of excellent quality and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. A bonus for some may be that it doesn't especially cater for the after-pub hours customer.

You'll find the expected favourites here - lamb tikka for example come in at a very reasonable £5.50 and the delicious hot and spicy hari mirchi bhuna gosht is £6.50.

Starters include onion bahjees and vegetable samosas (both £2.45) - deliciously hot and tasty and not at all greasy. The chicken chat was full of flavour and reasonably priced at £2.95.

Can't decide which vegetable side dishes to choose? Don't worry - you can have a selection of three for just £5.25.

The restaurant is large enough to hold up to 50 people. There's a take away service and they'll happily cater for large parties, functions, weddings and birthdays. And children are welcome too.
