Pubali Tandoori has been in business for 33 years, throughout which one family has been at the helm, perfecting recipes passed down through generations and consistently coming up with new ideas. There’s a lot of experience packed into one kitchen, the result of which is food that’s second to none.
Simple and unfussy, the interior is comfortable and welcoming, but nothing detracts from the food. Starters are many and the vast selection makes choosing tricky. Sweet, succulent tandoori king prawns are the ideal opener, piquing your appetite for a main course of Kashmiri lamb with lychee, and a side of aloo gobi – my personal favourite. Flawless service from a dedicated team completes the lineup at this excellent neighbourhood Indian restaurant.
