Sometimes, on arrival at a restaurant, you instantly know that you are in for a special evening, and this was one. Three things were immediately obvious: the friendly and efficient greeting; the decor, comprising quality furniture, fresh flowers, bold colours and a feeling of space; and the fact that around two thirds of the clientele were Chinese – no better endorsement required.

The owners arrived from Hong Kong many years ago and opened a successful, and now well-established, restaurant in London’s China Town. Six years ago they decided to open their second establishment here in Cosham where, based on their London success, they have created a dedicated following.

The menu has a wide variety of dishes, many of which are familiar but in addition there are also many dishes specifically prepared for the Oriental market. All the options looked and smelt wonderful and those we tried certainly confirmed this. The portions were very generous and we left wearing wonderfully contented smiles.

This restaurant clearly has a loyal and satisfied following, probably due to its mix of favourite and more unusual dishes.

This is an excellent option for those wanting fine Chinese food with great service in quality surroundings, and they also offer a take away option, so you can take your Oriental feast home with you.
