Situated amid the cobbled streets of The Barbican in Plymouth, Rocky’s is just footsteps away from the pretty seafront with its trendy bars and wonderful views out to sea.

This family-owned business is embarking on its third successful year of business and seems to be in a constant state of activity; throughout the evening of our visit a multitude of guests were warmly welcomed and consistently attended to. The venue itself is lovely, with an uncomplicated and cool interior – the neutral colour scheme is accented by exotic greens and oranges, giving the restaurant an understated Mediterranean vibe.

The menu offers massive variety, specialising in burgers, grills and seafood, all with sunny European influences. For a refreshing seafood start to your meal, try the fragrant moules mariniere served with fresh bread, followed by authentic Greek kleftiko, comprising slowroasted lamb in a red wine and tomato sauce. Also from the main menu, the spicy, chargrilled blackened salmon served with a subtle dill dressing is a great choice. Rocky’s restaurant also offers a popular carvery every Sunday and serves as a stylish party venue – private functions are a speciality and the team welcome bookings of up to 100.

So for excellent service and delicious food that’s also good value for money, Rocky’s certainly packs an impressive punch.
