The Coppleridge is a family-run country inn and restaurant set within 15 acres of gardens, woodland and meadow overlooking the Blackmore Vale. The main building is an 18th-Century farmhouse that has been beautifully converted into a warm, cosy bar and restaurant.
Within the house there are five separate dining areas. The garden room is ideal for families and opens onto the safe children’s play area, complete with chickens, while the bar is ideal if you want to catch up with the local gossip; and the three lower restaurants all boast open fires for long winter nights. All the rooms are available for private hire. Outside there are extensive gardens where you can eat alfresco, or you can sit on the popular terrace with its vine-clad pergola and views across the meadows to Duncliffe Hill.
The menu is very varied and makes use of only the finest fresh, local produce. On it you will find old favourites like butcher’s bangers and mash, plus an à la carte selection featuring plenty of fresh fish, meats and local game. There is an extensive wine list offering varieties available by the glass or bottle, and the bar is well stocked with real ales, ciders and lagers – not forgetting plenty of soft drinks for drivers and younger members of the family.
