Close to the A47/A1 Junction, Fresh Restaurant at Sacrewell Farm caters for the whole family. Children are particularly welcome and the culinary focus is, as you might expect, on fresh, local food – some from the farm itself. We tucked into generous portions of tasty steak and ale pie and sausages with root-vegetable mash – both very reasonably priced. The varied menu offers simple sandwiches, snacks and main meals, including roast dinners on Sundays, with children’s portions carefully considered. This deservedly popular eatery has space for more than 80 diners, but it’s advisable to book at busy times. If you’re passing and need a coffee break, opt for Fresh and get a lovely countryside setting as a bonus, or make a day of it and visit the farm attractions too. After bags of fun in the fresh air, feeding the animals and enjoying bumpy tractor rides, head to the sunlit on-site licensed restaurant. *Price range represents the cost of a main course and a drink.
