Exuding traditional character from the outside in, The Thatch nestles in the centre of Bottesford within the Vale of Belvoir. Relaunched in 2006 by Emma Roffe and Neil Murphy, they have a real passion to provide a relaxed and welcoming dining experience. Recently accredited a Silver Award by Visit Britain within the Restaurant with Rooms category, they remain keen to continually offer the best in both service and locally-sourced produce wherever possible.
Lunchtime sees an unbelievable value-for-money menu with the choice of two or three-course specials, or alternatively a light lunch menu is available. Relax in the cosy atmosphere of the lounge before taking your seats in the dining room, where crisp linen laid tables enhance the enjoyment of each dish, personally prepared by chef Neil. Evening meals offer up to eight choices for starters, mains and desserts. All main courses are served with fresh vegetables included in the price. Sunday lunch is all about tradition. The biggest homemade Yorkshire puddings and succulent locally-farmed roast beef always feature, with seasonal vegetables and homemade mouth-watering desserts. To finish, ease into one of the relaxing lounge chairs and enjoy a coffee. In the summer French windows open onto the patio and lawn area for customers to enjoy the sunshine and a long cool drink. Four recently refurbished bedrooms are also available. Private functions and hire of the restaurant can be arranged, making a special occasion extra special.
