With the popularity of Chinese, Indian and Italian fare, you might not immediately think of Middle Eastern cuisine when deciding where to dine out. But take a trip to the Lebanon Grill and you’ll quickly add this vibrant food to your list of favourites. For one, it certainly encourages a sociable dining experience; this Luton town-centre restaurant prides itself on its meze – and what better way to enjoy a meal with loved ones than by choosing, sharing and relishing a selection of different dishes together?
The menu offers something for all; we devoured a platter of crispy falafel balls, grilled halloumi and homemade hummus to start, which were all to die for. We decided to be a little more selfish with our mains, however – they were just too good to share. I went for the tender lamb kofta, while my companion tucked into chicken shish taouk, both of which came heartily recommended. We also indulged in tasty sides of Lebanese rice and flatbreads.
When you’ve finished dining, end your Arabian night by heading to the restaurant’s shisha room. The shisha here has no tobacco, nicotine or tar and comes in a range of fruity flavours, offering a great opportunity to relax, unwind and round off your meal in the most satisfying of ways.
