While retaining the classic integrity of its home’s historic architecture, the interior of Flores (decorated by award-winning designers) presents an elegant, contemporary environment in which to relax, drink and dine.
Flores take inspiration from Spanish-born American philosopher, George Santayana, who said, ‘to be interested in the changing seasons is a happier state of mind than to be hopelessly in love with spring’; and they embrace this value wholeheartedly. The menus here are adapted to reflect the revolving seasons and make use of the finest, freshest ingredients all year round. From chilly January to joyous June, abundant August to indulgent December, Flores’ creative team strive to bring you a menu that reflects the year’s changing mood.
The pulutan-style fare encourages diners to choose a diverse selection of smaller plates, resulting in a collection of tempting tastes to share. Sample the likes of Skylark Fa rm goat’s cheese with beetroot, honey and mint; merguez sausage with Moroccan vegetable sauce and cous cous; or succulent mussels baked in a loaf with leeks, saffron, nutmeg and cream. Those watching the calories might opt for a super-food salad of broccoli, sunflower seeds, beans, pomegranate and Goji berries, or roasted spiced pineapple with burnt ginger crumbs.
