Terracotta Restaurant is a cosy, family-run restaurant that serves tremendously delicious food. By combining traditional Italian recipes with modern culinary flair, the chefs at this charming restaurant have really hit the nail on the head. Dining here involves exquisite dishes beautifully presented, an excellent choice of wines, and a welcoming atmosphere in which to enjoy it all. Residents of Hythe flock to Terracotta for intimate evening meals, lunchtime catch-ups and family occasions – and it’s not hard to see why. During our visit we got stuck into starters of calamari fritti and Carpaccio de rinforza. This was followed by an indulgently rich linguine al pollo e dolcelatte and, for my companion, a sublime tagliatelle con polpettine di carne – a classic created with obvious passion and skill. Terracotta’s desserts are well worth saving room for. With the likes of tiramisu, pannacotta and chocolate mousse on the menu, they are hard to resist.
