The Fox and Hounds Inn, built in 1728, is a charming Borders public house overlooking the village green of historic Denholm and specialising in real ales, home-cooked lunches and dinners, with comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation in the adjoining cottage. With all the nearby facilities and attractions, The Fox and Hounds Inn is the ideal place to stay or visit and you can be sure of a warm welcome whether you are on holiday, on business, or just passing through. Christine and Stewart have been the proprietors of The Fox and Hounds Inn for the last 11 years and have done a fantastic job in securing a happy clientele during that time. Bar meals are served in either the cosy bar area, amid the glow of its real fire, or in the rear lounge. Evening meals are enjoyed in the upstairs restaurant. There is a courtyard which is very popular in the summer for alfresco eating and there is also a large beer garden. For a bit of fun, you will love the fortnightly Friday quizzes; impromptu folk music sessions are also a much-enjoyed occurrence. Something which takes a little more organisation is the hugely popular annual rock concert, held in the beer garden in mid August. In addition to all of this, you can also hold your special celebration at The Fox and Hounds Inn. This really is a pub that goes the extra mile to give its guests a thoroughly good time.
