Proprietors Kath and Glen are joined by their daughter Angela and a very hard-working team of staff, who offer a very friendly welcome, great food and a wide range of refreshing beverages. This pub’s carvery is famous for miles around. People from all over the Borders flock to enjoy a varied choice of dishes and some of the choicest cuts around. Visitors from as far away as Australia have been known to make the journey to experience Mayfield’s hearty fare. There are also à la carte, lunch, snack and kids’ menus, all of which showcase freshly made, wholesome and truly mouth-watering dishes. Special-priced two and three-course menus are available every Wednesday and Thursday too. On the first weekend of every month, the pub holds a seafood bonanza, where you’ll discover platters of fresh fish and shellfish, depending on the season.
