The Tiger’s Eye is inspired by head chef Rob’s travels through Asia. After he sampled the culinary delights the continent had to offer, he returned to Gloucester intent on sharing the delectable dishes he’d discovered. The result was a contemporary pan-Asian restaurant that offers a taste of the Orient in an historical, Jacobean-styled setting.
The menu here is vast and varied, with mouth-watering dishes such as succulent pan-fried duck breast and crunchy soft shell crab being just two of the wide range of options available. The restaurant also boasts a signature Black Rock Grill menu that features a selection of meats for diners to cook to their own taste at the table on a volcanic rock that’s heated to a staggering 440°C. With tantalising cuts like sirloin steak, adventurous choices like lean yet luscious ostrich fillet and interesting seafood such as swordfish, the Black Rock Grill promises something for everyone. Furthermore, all fat is trimmed and oil is ditched at the Tiger’s Eye, so you don’t have to feel guilty while enjoying your food. If guests have any room left after their first two courses, they can treat themselves to a freshly made dessert from the daily changing offering.
With friendly, dedicated staff and an enchanting atmosphere, this is a restaurant that’s worth checking out.
