You’ll find The New Inn in the heart of the historic village of Clapham. Set on the edge of Forest of Bowland, a visit to Clapham is like taking a trip back in time and you’ll quickly notice the absence of modern street lighting, overhead wires and contemporary architecture. Instead, the village is populated by historic stone buildings and unspoilt rural views. The pub itself dates back to the 18th century and is a Grade II listed structure.
If you’re looking for a peaceful break, be sure to check out the rooms at The New Inn. Each one has been individually decorated to refl ect the character of the inn, with features such as restored window seats and exposed brickwork adding an element of romantic charm to every room.
The restaurant is the jewel in The New Inn’s crown. The same sense of cosiness carries into the dining room, and the menu offers a fantastic selection of pub classics as well as more adventurous choices. For something rich and indulgent, opt for the Gressingham duck breast with cherries and fondant potato, or select the sweet, sticky ginger and soy salmon. Other choices range from a classic plate of fish and chips traditional pie of the day to juicy kangaroo fillet and a vegan turmeric and cauliflower dish.
