The Harlequin, set on the banks of the Don in Sheffield's Riverside District, is a firmly established favourite. Not only is it often recognised by CAMRA Sheffield as 'Pub of the Month', but it also won the 'Cider Pub of the Year' award in 2011 and 2013. The enormous drinks menu contains an impressively vast range of tipples, and the extensive ale offerings are changed on a daily basis. House beers are provided by the award-winning Brew Company, based just a stone's throw away. Alongside our two generously sized Sunday dinners (one beef, one pork; both great), we selected two guest ales to try. Lucky Strike, from Doncaster's Glentworth Brewery, was a pale bitter with notes of citrus, while our second, Tungsten from Worksop's Double Top Brewery, was a darker, buttery stout. The Harlequin offers great value for money in a friendly and welcoming environment
