Owner Vito Ciaraolo arrived in Sheffield over 30 years ago, bringing with him a passion for Italian food. Having worked in another restaurant for ten years, Vito finally broke out on his own to establish a restaurant that he has become so proud of, he has put his name to it.
Vito's menu features a handful of traditional Italian classics, as well as an array of treats for the more adventurous diner. Irresistible pasta dishes include tortellini alla panna - pasta stuffed with ham and cheese cooked with cream, truffle and basil. Vito has also included dishes from regions across Italy, such as the risotto al Barbera, which sees arborio rice cooked with Barbera wine, parsley, garlic, fresh Parmesan and vegetable stock: a dish that's popular in Piemonte. Looking for something a little more exciting' The faggiano con mela grano - off-the-bone pheasant cooked with pomegranate, bacon, pomegranate juice, olive oil, lemon, thyme, served on Italian toasted bread - is simply delicious.
