Located close to Pocklington’s town centre, The Station Hotel has a warm, inviting ambience that makes it feel like a cosy home from home. While the bar is well stocked with a range of beer, ale and wine, the recently renovated restaurant serves a traditional menu comprising a range of homemade favourites.
The Station takes the provenance of ingredients seriously and each dish is made using the finest locally sourced produce. Top-quality meat, for example, is supplied by Pocklington’s own Burton Butchers. The kitchen team will also cater for all dietary needs (all you need to do is let them know in advance), and is proud of their five-star food hygiene rating. Starters range from meaty Brussels pâté with chutney, fresh salad and seeded toast, to warm goat’s cheese ciabatta salad, while the mains selection features British pub food. Hearty homemade steak and ale pie, topped with buttery pastry and served with homemade chips and seasonal vegetables is one of the highlights, while the signature Station mixed grill, served on a sizzler with all of the trimmings, is for the very hungry only. Remember to check out the regularly changing selection of desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth. Outside, the lovely large beer garden is a great spot in which to enjoy a refreshing drink in the sunshine. In addition to the bar and restaurant, The Station also boasts a function room, which can be closed off for private events and is free to rent when you order a buffet.
