54-55 The Esplanade, Weymouth, DT4 8DG
The Nook is an intimate and unique independent bar, eatery and cocktail lounge conveniently situated right on the seafront, with stunning views over Weymouth's award-winning beach and coastline. Recently refurbished, the plush interior has the feel of a stylish New York loft bar, with a libation selection to match.
The extensive cocktail and spirit list has been crafted over six years and includes classics as well as some quirky and elaborate cocktails invented by the in-house mixologists. Try the Jazzy Fizzle Champagne cocktail, named after and invented by a staff member - this beautiful-looking layered beverage comprises fresh raspberries, elderflower, Chambord and Champagne. Or why not go for a Havana Cigar Mojito featuring three-year-old Havana rum that has been infused with a Cuban cigar for three months to give an aged and slightly smoky flavour. Needless to say, cocktail fans will love it here.
Cocktails are definitely The Nook's raison d'être, but if you need a little sustenance there is also a great food menu specialising in tapas dishes and homemade posh pub grub. There is also a broad range of wines, Continental lagers and ciders if you're not feeling so adventurous.
If you still need an incentive to visit, take note that The Nook really comes to life during the evenings. Don't let the size of the place fool you; this gorgeous little bar frequently makes over 500 cocktails on a Saturday night, when The Nook's resident DJ, Orange Juice, plays Motown, funk, soul and disco classics on original vinyl records. The crowd is diverse, cool and attitude-free, making The Nook a trendy spot for locals and out-of-towners alike.
Prepare yourself for delicious cocktails, delectable bites, an alluring atmosphere and charming staff, not to mention the great service. The Nook's location makes it perfect for a lazy lunch on a hot summer's day looking out to sea, a warming coffee after a brisk winter walk on the beach or a memorable night out with friends
