The Kings Arms is a lovely Grade II listed property set beside the old Okehampton to Exeter trunk road in the village of South Zeal. Thought to be approximately 500 years old and located at the western entrance to the village, it is an important visual landmark. The Kings Arms is open all year round and is a fine resting place for locals and walkers alike, offering a selection of fine wines and some of the finest local real ales from Dartmoor. The Kings Arms offers a selection of quality local homemade food, from local steak and ale pies to beer-battered fish and chips. Light bites, ploughman's lunches and sandwiches are also available, as well as a tapas menu throughout the summer months.
