Deep in the Devon countryside sits Cheristow Lavender, a traditionally run, low-impact beef farm with an old-fashioned English tearoom. The tearoom in the conservatory overlooks the lavender gardens. It offers high-quality homemade food, much of which is organic. Cheristow Lavender’s outside seating area is the perfect place to enjoy freshly baked scones, homemade jam and Cornish clotted cream. The tearoom is known for its hearty traditional plate pasties and boerewors sausages made from the farm’s own beef, and their homemade vegetarian hummus platter. Ingredients, including eggs, potatoes, onions, lettuce and tomatoes are grown organically on the farm for guaranteed freshness. Cheristow Lavender also has a campsite, which is open from Easter until the end of September. Please ring for opening times and dates before coming.
