Gemelli Restaurant & Delicatessen is based in the beautiful old town centre of Torquay, a ten-minute walk from the harbour - the perfect, peaceful location to enjoy a meal.
Gemelli was opened in 2009 and is a family-run restaurant led by chef Lorenzo Giovannini. Lorenzo guarantees the authenticity of his Italian cuisine and his partner, Ewa, is always ready to give you a warm welcome and deliver friendly, attentive service.
The food is prepared fresh to order, wisely matching Italian ingredients with locally sourced seafood from Brixham market and meats from the South Devon region. Starters include a refreshing bruschetta or a traditional platter of Italian cured meats from the deli counter. Pasta and risotto can be taken as starters or mains, with a choice between classic recipes or some more unique options. The homemade stone-baked pizza frutti di mare is a fine choice, prepared with fresh seafood, although if you prefer fillet or veal you will find them tenderly cooked and accompanied with mouth-watering sauces. If you're a vegetarian, you will be presented with a dedicated vegetarian menu. Finish with one of their daily prepared, homemade desserts.
Special offers include an incredible value-for-money set lunch at £6.45 for one course or £8.45 for two courses - both including a soft drink or a proudly served quality coffee.
