A little piece of Beirut meets the English Riviera at this unique hotel and bistro in Torquay. You can't miss the decorated frontage of the Richwood Hotel, emblazoned with murals of Baalbek in Lebanon. The comfortable accommodation - including swimming pool and spa - is only half the story; it's Saida's home-cooked Lebanese halal cuisine which makes this a stand-out destination. Tuck into kebbe - stuffed Lebanese meatballs - with Beirut potatoes, tabbouleh, hummus, salad and much more, knowing everything is cooked from scratch, totally fresh and to order. This means booking is essential and some dishes require booking in advance. Along with the daily menu, there are ever-changing specials, a range of European dishes (the Swiss cheese fondue comes highly recommended) and freshly made bar snacks. Take advantage of the sun terrace for alfresco dining or relax on the front terrace with an after-dinner shisha. Those who stumble across this little gem come away singing its praises
Open: Mon-Sun for lunch and dinner
