Set in a stunning 1000-year-old building in the Teign Valley is The Cridford Inn. Owners Paul and Ness took over the pub in 2018 and have transformed it into a Devonshire foodie hotspot. Inside, the low ceilings, oak beams and open fires create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The Cridford Inn has four deluxe en-suite bedrooms, and guests staying are also treated to a scrumptious breakfast.
Outside, the large terrace becomes a suntrap in the summer months, making it the perfect place to watch the sun go down with a glass of wine in hand. As well as a comprehensive wine list, The Cridford Inn also serves three local cask ales, cider on draught and 70 different types of gin.
The extensive food menu will leave you spoilt for choice. The kitchen boasts a talented team of chefs with a diverse range of cooking styles and techniques; the head chef has previously worked for Michelin-starred chefs including the godfather of modern British cooking, Alastair Little. The menu changes daily, as the chefs utilise the abundance of fresh local produce delivered to the pub that morning. Dishes that have featured previously include salt and pepper squid served with lime and chilli mayonnaise, crisp and succulent pork belly with Dauphinoise potatoes and rich sherry sauce, and indulgent Baileys bread and butter pudding with clotted cream and honeycomb. It’s no wonder The Cridford Inn is so popular. You can also reserve a table online, please visit the website for more information.
