North Bovey, Dartmoor, TQ13 8RB
The Ring of Bells Inn at North Bovey is an early thatched Dartmoor inn, packed with period features including a 15th-Century arched door frame, heavy oak doors, low ceilings and beams and a grandfather clock built into the wall. The inn comprises a series of cosy rooms heated by open fires, which in the evenings are aglow with candlelight, adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Set in idyllic North Bovey, the inn is a popular watering hole for locals and visitors alike. West Country real ales abound, alongside an eclectic wine list and an excellent daily changing menu. Chef Tony Carr ensures the menu always features fresh locally sourced produce to re flect the season. Devon generates an abundance of quality produce and, as such, the team have adopted a policy of supporting their local producers as much as possible, with Tony always on the look-out for new suppliers in the area. Meat, fish and vegetables are locally reared or grown and many of the drinks on offer are locally produced. Five delightful individually decorated en-suite bedrooms - three double rooms and two twins - provide perfect comfort for weary travellers, complete with new flat-screen digital TVs and tea and coffee making facilities. The room rate starts at £85 per room per night and also includes a full English breakfast. A single person discount of £20 is available and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
