Sophie's Restaurant

Sophie is passionate about cooking and it shows. Meat is selected from local farms, superb seasonal produce is locally sourced and the best of fish is freshly caught - the choice is simply wonderful. Whether for two to five-course dinners or one to three-course lunches, Sophie's cuisine captures the French style. Even her French family's portraits are displayed in the beautiful Grade II listed Georgian building. When we arrived early, the evening menu had only just been printed. We ended up choosing different dishes for each course so that we could share as much of Sophie's cooking as possible. The menu changes daily and the wine list provides quality selections from independent winemakers in southern France known personally to Sophie and Mark.
