Hungry walkers, beach-lovers and explorers on the hunt for good old Devonshire hospitality will be pleased to know that if they hit upon The Odd Wheel, they’ll find it in spades. The friendly faces behind the bar welcome all who stop by this characterful pub, set in the beautiful coastal village of Wembury in South Devon. Diners can enjoy traditional dishes from the broad menu and specials board both in the restaurant area and bar lounge. Portions are hearty but it’s hard to resist devouring dessert with such delicious options on offer – think sticky toffee pudding and spotted dick with custard. The lunchtime deal, available Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays), is great value at £10.95 for two courses. After dining, head through the double doors to the decking area, where you can sit back and relax. There’s also a children’s play area and dog-friendly policy in the bar lounge and garden, proving that all are welcome. After one visit, we’re sure you’ll be singing The Odd Wheel’s praises.
