The quirky charm of this tearoom will win you over as soon as you walk through the door. The interior is adorned with an eclectic mix of vintage cups and saucers, antiques and other curios - there can surely be no better setting for a traditional English afternoon tea. The extensive selection of teas includes exotic sounding options such as White Silver Needle and Black Dragon. We plumped for the Russian Caravan and rose, both of which were wonderfully refreshing. We also tucked into a smoked salmon sandwich and comforting hot crumpets, before turning our attention to the sweet treats. The four-layer chocolate and orange gateau was to die for, and the Florentine tart was rich, fruity and moreish. With more than 90 speciality teas and 30 varieties of homemade cakes and biscuits on offer, this is not a place to visit just once.
