The Globe is a welcome sight for those traversing the Frome Valley Walkway. It’s become a meeting place for walkers, families and couples and, of course, the locals love it – with a cosy interior, views of the church and a beautiful beer garden, why wouldn’t they? The lunch menu is extensive, so if you’re after a quick snack you’ll be pleased with the selection of freshly baked potatoes and warming ciabattas. If you’ve a bigger appetite, opt instead for a delicious roasted rack of lamb with red wine jus. All dishes are homemade on the premises and created using local produce from local suppliers. While you enjoy the homemade fare, the little ones are free to burn off excess energy in the play area. Its close proximity to Bristol and its countryside setting make The Globe a great evening retreat, though it’s enchanting day or night.
