Everybody loves a good old traditional English pub. But what could be better than an inn that incorporates all the features that people enjoy, while offering up fantastic food and prices that are easy on the wallet?

The Hare & Hounds does just that. It's a friendly olde-worlde pub that boasts a large family area as well as extensive outdoor decking overlooking the wonderful Robin Hill Country Park. This vast pub can seat up to 160 people - ideal if you are considering hosting a large party, a family get-together or business meeting. The ample bar stocks all kinds of drinks, including a host of reasonably priced cask ales.

The comprehensive menu will be sure to cater for whatever your palate desires, with different menus suiting the time of day. Pop in for lunch and take pleasure in the lunchtime favourites, including sandwiches, wraps and burgers, as well as old English classics. Make the most of your stay and try one of the delectable starters - the handmade shredded duck and hoi sin spring rolls are a delicious way to start, complete with a dressed salad garnish and hoi sin dipping sauce. Revert back to a more traditional English dish and try the heart-warming Suffolk pork sausages with Devon Cheddar mash, gravy and caramelised red onion chutney. Having browsed through the menu, you would have probably already been tempted by the list of desserts - mixed Mövenpick ice cream is a particular favourite. Choose three scoops from mint chocolate, rum and raisin, maple and walnut, and Swiss dark chocolate - delicious. Visit on Sunday to indulge in the fantastic carvery. With a choice of meats and fresh vegetables, it is the perfect opportunity to have a lazy and well-deserved rest, while at the same time making the most of your day off.
